Yeah, it has been a while since I've updated it, and 0.5.0 sucks a lot (unless you can live with it spawning zombie's). This seems to be a result of how libmpegsound works. Ugh. I'm rewriting it to do threading and _not_ use libmpegsound! Actually, I love libmpegsound and will attempt to use it if at all possible. I am also cleaning up the infrastructure by rewriting a lot of stuff as classes (mainly a song class to encapsulate all the song related stuff). So, it will be a month or so before I release 0.6 (the next release). After all, I'm redoing most of the architecture, so it will be a bit featureless. I'm gonna release a fully working splister. During the 0.6 series, I may add ogg playing support (make that a probably). I'll write a basic spedit (the playlist editor), and start that out. 0.7.x will feature the ability to use a config file to (gasp) make splister use a default playlist. This will include a small config file editor. 0.8 will have lots of good stuff, and 0.9 will be the code optimization / debug series. Then, 1.0 will finally be released. After that, someone will find a large bug, and 1.0.1 will be released :). After 1.0.1, who knows what the future may hold? I'll be putting the focus on spedit and bring that to 1.0, then revisit splister. So, the development will be exciting (to me at least) for the next few months. On another note, I'm looking for someone to make my autoconf/make setup work better. Wait for 0.6 tho.
