Spencer has a new developer.

Welcome to the fold Romaicus!

I am pleased and proud to announce the immediate availablility of Spencer 1.0.

The indexing component is unchaged from the Beta and the web component has undergone minor cosmetic changes to the browse function.

All compiled code will now only run under JRE 1.5.0 or higher although the code does not contain any JDK 1.5.0 specific constructs and may be compiled under JDK 1.4 if desired.

I have today posted the Beta of Spencer. This release has enhanced zip archive handling.

The first release of Spencer is available!
