Missing scrollbar in context area.
Brought to you by:
wig_out_on_me
The scrollbar in the context area disappears when a
user replaces a misspelled word, or resized the
Spellbound window. This bug is consistently reproducible.
This is occurring on Windows XP SP2 with Firefox 1.5
Beta 2 and Spellbound 0.7.3
This only solution I can find is to click close after
each correct and then re-check. As you can imagine,
this is very time consuming. However, with no other
options available, I still gladly use Spellbound every day.

This was caused due to a change made in releases of Firefox
after 1.0.x - though I have a fix I'm currently working on
inline spellchecking for spellbound and the next release
will either not have the existing ui so this problem won't
be present or if it does it will be fixed in that release.
Thanks and cheers.

Inline? as in like the new Thunderbird freature that undlines in
red misspelled words as you type them? (Or, like Safari
does it.) That would be great. I can't wait.
BTW, you said "though I have a fix..." Is there a patch/hack
that I can make to implement this ifx in the mean time?

Yes, similar to Thunderbird. I don't have the bandwidth
available to provide a patch / fix for the scrollbar issue
so it will have to wait for the next release.

This bug appears to be fixed in the development version
available on MozillaZine. Along with inline checking
(woohoo!), when I go to the SpellBound UI, the scrollbar
doesn't disappear.
Most SourceForge projects have development versions
available on their pages. Any chance we could see this for
SpellBound?

Sorry, forgot the URL for that development version:

Works in Firefox 1.501, too.
