train words fails often with :

Couldn't start playback.
The output device could not be initialized.
Please check your sound configuration and try again.

steps:
train 3 words and play recorded voice after each record.

simon is not connected and activated

Restart simon re-enables device and next word can be trained.

I use Ubuntu (Gnome) 9.04 Linux (i686) release 2.6.28-13-generic
with simon 0.2 from repository.

    Sounds like a pulseaudio problem.

    Have you uninstalled it?

    This could also be a user/gui-bug, see Bug #2829975
    One needs to press recordbutton again to stop recording!
    Otherwise simon keeps recording.

    Clsoing this. Without further information I have to assume it is a Pulseaudio problem (it is enabled by default on Ubuntu and would produce something like this).
