Try adding "-echo both" to the command line invocation so you can see which line it is failing on. Are you using the same version of SPARTA as before? Sometimes there are changes to the input syntax over time. Also sometimes if you copy/paste an input file text, the lines get wrapped wrong or something like that, so the command gets cut in half.
