Dear community,
I am working with complex geometry that can include small gaps of fluid that must be resolved properly.
I would like to do the following:
1. Perform a refinement on only the cutcells to ensure high resolution near the solid surface:
adapt_grid all refine surf wall 0.000001 iterate 2 file refinement.out
2. After that, I would like to apply an adaptive grid refinement on the bulk of the flow (i.e. excluding the cut-cells). The adaptive grid refinement would be something like:
compute mfp lambda/grid f_avg[2] f_avg[3] H2 kall
# adapt based on loc knudsen
fix 9 adapt 500 all refine coarsen value c_mfp[2] 2 5 thresh less more combine min maxlevel 6 file refinement.*.out
Now, my question is: is there a way to assign cutcells to a region to avoid the coarsening of the cells near the boundaries from the adaptive grid refinement (basically by replacing the "all" grid ID in the fix adapt call with this region that excludes cut cells)?
