Dear Cosimo, I am so glad to hear from you. These are different (as far as I can understand): 1-my problems arise because my 3D mesh comprises several objects that I need to create a CAD file separately for each and then mesh and assemble. If these assembled meshes are "too close" Sparta things these are overlapping and errors out. The solution is to gap these parts farther apart then a typical mesh cell about the gap. This is sometimes violating the physics. Like making the bottom of your coffee cup standing 1mm off the rest of the cup 🙂 Now try to solve this by assembling all the cad files without the gaps*through scripting and then meshing the exported singe CAD as a single volume. Sparta at least reads the mesh this way. I am trying to do this now. 2-Sometimes in early run time it crashes probably due to just bad luck, I think developers can explain. You never know. I solved this just by changing the grid cells just by one or so. ... Take care. I think it happened to me as well during a simulation, and I was unable to understand the source of it. I always have this problem of cut3d failing or overlapping triangles but this is another thing. If it could just tell where that would be already better. Thank you to you! But this time I have surface mesh in milimeters. In the read_surf command I can specify 3 scales Sx,Sy,Sz as 0.001, 0.001, and 0.001. Then continue as if the mesh is in meters. Am I right? To get Sparta run on a 3D model is always a big struggle for me, I just want to be sure if I am right. As I usually need to struggle to get Sparta run on complex 3D surface models. Thank you for reading.
