I downloaded the .zip version of sox, and noticed that it contained multiple DLL files. The README.win32 file said right at the start that: "The binary SOX.EXE can be installed anywhere you desire. The only restriction is that the included ZLIB1..DLL and LIBGOMP-1.DLL must be located in the same directory as SOX.EXE or somewhere within your PATH." I assumed that that was wrong and copied all the supplied DLLs to the directory in which I placed the sox executable (and the play/rec/soxi copies). If copying all the DLLs was not required, why were they supplied? -- Jeremy Nicoll - my opinions are my own |
