Hi, I am new here and would greatly appreciate help. I wanted to use SOX under WinXP SP4. When trying such a simple command such as: sox -m snippet1.wav snippet4.wav test.wav I always get the error: sox formats: can't open input file 'snippet4.wav': Unhandled WAV file encoding (MP3) I suppose that these files are correctly encoded as they are part of the package. What is wrong? Essentially, I would like to past together a large number of short sound files. Is it possible to use "*" for this e.g. "sox -m *.wav result.wav? Is there no way to use "record" under Windows? Thanks a lot for any hint, Dieter ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Dieter Blaas, Max F.
