Congratulations on an amazing program!
Would any of you devs be interested in programming an FFT filter effect that would remove the center from a stereo file. Something like Adobe Audition's CCE Filter or Nero's Karaoke filter which allow the center panned material to be removed leaving the far left and right parts of the stereo file intact. This reverse oops effect is very useful in creating surround sound remixes not to mention great for Karaoke.
Thanks in advance for your consideration.
CenterCutGUI source code
Rob or Chris,
Thanks to a very kind person, here is the free source code to add a great new effect to the long list of the SoX bag of tricks. The program creates a clean center channel while removing the stereo sides but also has the option of doing the opposite - removing the common material from a stereo file while leaving the stereo spread intact. There's also the option of moving the bass out of the center into the sides for those who want karaoke. Please consider adding this to the next version and include all of it's features.
Respectfully,
Joe
If forgot to add that this is one of the cleanest sounding center removers I've heard.
That looks do-able with a bit of translation from C# to C.
