You best install the tortoise subversion client and get the sources via subversion.
In the project wiki, there is a "getting started" that contains the relevant links and instructions.
The build process that you get then will create a version suitable for XP - actually I myself am working on XP and XP/x64. 
The files in the download section are the compiled binaries. At the moment, this is still of little use.

I know it was a but much traffic but this is mainly owed to the fact so many people have to get started at once.
You can expect the list traffic to get much less in a few days, when everybody has "grown" into the project.

I am glad you understood the description so you now know what this all is about.
Of course it is too early for real feedback, but I am preparing a discussion example of elements of the language for tonight, so expect at least this one more list mail to read today :-)
