Hi Terence, I know we are talking about -1/+1 shifts but should we also be talking about "programmed translational hop"s as well ? I don't want to over-generalise because I realise only too well that this can lead to paralysis because of the difficulty of coming up with a general solution. So...I like the idea of overlaps and micro-introns as we will be able to represent all of these types of frameshifts. Down-stream software will need to handle this which shouldn't be that onerous ?
