This file is the product of a piece of proprietary software caled "Xcelsius" by Buisiness Objects. The program generates .swf files and can have a "Local Scenario save" widget. This widget apparently generates .sol files (I've determined this by noticing its reaction to having the files deleted) and your program cannot open them. Was wondering if there's anything you can do. I'd like to be able to transfer these files.
