I recently upgraded to Java 7 and had Softsqueeze 3.9b2 come up OK but fail to play any music from my squeeze server. I had eliminated Java 6 on my computer after the upgrade and had to uninstall Java 7 and reinstall Java 6 to make it work again. Has anyone had a similar problem? I will try again with an upgraded media server to see if that could have caused the issue. I will also leave Java version 6 on my computer this time.

Update on retrial of Java 7:
The installation of Java 7.7 AUTOMATICALLY deletes version 6.35. When I then installed 6.35 in addition to version 7 it did not help the problem. I had to delete version 7 completely using "Control Panel > Programs and Features" and then it began working again.
The display for Softsqueeze seemed to work OK and it showed buffering and connecting but no sound was heard. I am wondering if it is the Java MP3 Plugin that I previously downloaded that is causing the problem.
    Anyone have input on this?
