target-system is FreeBSD 4.10-STABLE.
The sample-program "mydeamon" dumped core with
segmentation fault in line tcpserver.cpp#491 (catch
SocketException).
This caused me some grief for a while and a note will be made when I figure
out how to set up the CVS on this project.
Up to and including FreeBSD 5.21
pthreadcc compiles, is tested and works well on its own
socketcc compiles, is tested and works well on its own
sockets in multi-threaded applications do not work.
Problem fixed in FreeBSD 5.3

Maybe you can look into the socket/thread parts
of "commoncpp2" (search for cplusplus here). This works here
on FBSD 4.10
