And add some little problem by opening video:
When I use link:
httpS://youtube.com/URL
Smplayer don't open video
But with
http://youtube.com/URL
It works without problems.
Sorry for bad English.
In preferences -> performance you can select the quality for Youtube videos.
I've just tested an url with httpS and it works ok in the development version (r6128).

UNIm95 created ticket for:
1: https: FIXED
2: change (switch) playback quality while playing Youtube video. With SMPlayer 20.6.20 (2020/06/19):
2a: change WHILE PLAYING: STILL CANNOT
2b: WORKAROUND: change AFTER REPLAYING that video IN PLAYLIST
2b:
Show video playback quality:
menu Options > Statusbar > Video info
Change playback qualtiy:
[1]: You're playing video youtube "ABC"
[2]: You want to change playback quality
[3]: menu Options > Preferences > Network > YouTube (and other sites) > Options for YouTube > Playback quality: select 240p->4K > OK
[4]: replay IN PLAYLIST, by one of the following ways:
[4a]: re-double-click that video
[4b]: select that video + press "Ctrl+Spacebar"
[4c]: select that video + right-click + Play
now "ABC" will played in new playback quality and resume from previous playback position (note: [N1])
Note [N1]: I created ticket for the bug: "Playlist always resume from previous position when play an item in playlist" at here: https://sourceforge.net/p/smplayer/bugs/974/
