SMPlayer 20.4.2.9354-Win32 : Getting error "Unable to locate the URL of the video" when trying to copy/paste any YouTube video links into program.

    Version 9354 requires a recent version of youtube-dl. You can try to reinstall smplayer, the installer will download the latest version of youtube-dl.
    If that doesn't work, send the smplayer log (menu View) after trying to play a video.

    I did the reinstall again today. I had actually just installed this version same day as posting this support ticket. Still does not work. Same error. Attached the log file. Thanks in advance, Ricardo.

    I just fixed it myself by downloading the new youtube.dl from the youtube-dl.org website and placing the exe file in the MPV subfolder. It's working again. But, please note your installer is not downloading that file as part of the install.

      I'm afraid I can't reproduce the problem in my computer. After the installation youtube-dl works fine.
