#656 SMPlayer is failing to load subtitles

Hi,

For no obvious reason, smplayer has started not loading my subtitles when playing a video. Version is 14.9.0

The related logs show the following:

Please note that this is reproducible with more than 1 movie files and with both Open subtitles and non-open subtitles srt files.

Any ideas? Will any settings reset fix the issue? How can I do that?

What version does the log say MPlayer is? If it is at least r37309 then it is a bug with MPlayer, I had the issue with my Windows builds and haven't gotten around to filing the bug with the mplayer devs.

Disabling the "Try to autodetect for this language:" in the subtitle settings should make them work again.

The setting disable works for me...the mplayer version is 4.7.2. Not sure how to map it against r37309.
