#400 Videos Don't Play When Clicking On Them Through File Manager

When I click on a video in the file manager I'm using SMPlayer will pop open but will not play the video. If I open SMPlayer and then load a video file into it will play. What is going on here, why won't it play when you click a video in a file manager?

Here are my system specs and software I'm using:

Slackware 13.1 x86
MPlayer 1.0 rc4 - Slackware naming --- MPlayer-20100218
PCMan File Manger Modified version of 0.5.2
SMPlayer 0.6.9 - Using QT 4.6.2

I updated to the latest svn, I'm not noticing this problem now...
