    Hello guys,

In my company, we have a piece of software that is working on SMC 6.3.0 and on Java and we have to migrate it to version 7.3.0. Do you know any potential risks coming from that migration? I cannot find the version 7.0.0 changes description anywhere, and I cannot get what can be affected by the version update. Please help.

    Thanks in advance.

I apologize that the release news is missing for 7.0, 7.1, and 7.2. You can find them at the SMC website http://smc.sourceforge.net/ . Release 7.0 main change was to post the Java library JAR files to maven central and the smc-maven-plugin for compiling .sm files via Maven.

There should be no risk moving from SMC 6.3.0 to 7.3.0 as there are no changes to SMC language. The only other changes to SMC 7.x releases is bug fixing. Let me know if you experience any problems with moving to SMC 7.3.0.

    Hi,
Can you help me in moving from 6.6.0 to 7.3.0.
Is the smc.jar file no longer needed?
As mentioned in above comment from @Charles Rapp, how should we use smc-maven-plugin to complie .sm files via maven?
Can you please elaborate and provide any steps to compile .sm files?

    Thanking you in advance

    Best Regards,
    Swathi
