"The URL that was passed is invalid." when running as user, but works for root.
Advanced Network Neighborhood Browser and Samba Share Mounting Utility

Smb4k (3.0.7-1) connects to shares only when it is ran as root, when running as normal user attempt to mount a share always ends with: "The URL that was passed is invalid."
Is there any way to make it work for the normal user?
(I am running it on MX Linux 21 with Plasma)
Also regardless of who you are running it as (root or otherwise) it doesn't discovery any shares on the network (shares are visible in dolphin for instance), but since manual mount works that is not a problem, the real problem is that the program has to be ran as root to be able to do anything.

Thank you for reporting this issue. However, it has already been solved in Smb4K 3.1.x. Since MX Linux is based on Debian 11, you can try the latest version (3.1.2) form here: https://software.opensuse.org//download.html?project=home%3Aareinholdt&package=smb4k
Does it work?
Like a charm. Thank you.
