Buongiorno,
I have been using SMB4K for years to mount some SMB/CIFS shared resources (from a W2102R2 server) on my GNU/Linux laptop, (now with KDE Neon 5.16).
Yesterday I recibed a new bunch of updates and launched it. Today, as usually, SMB4K has mounted my shares but I cannot write on them. I've check the folders created to mount the shared and their permissions are:
drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 8192 may 28 12:46 'shared$'
So I cannot write on them with my unprivileged user. I tryed to change some options but with no success.
How can I fix it?
Thanks in advance.

Please go to the Mounting page of the configuration dialog, Common Mount Settings tab, and switch off the setting All or most of the servers support the CIFS Unix extensions. Enable the settings User ID, Group ID, File mode and Directory mode. Then, remount all shares. Do you have write access now?

Hi. Thank you for your help.
I've changed the options you talk about, and same problem, same file permissions:
drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 8192 jun 12 10:22 'shared$'
Can you please check, whether there are custom settings for the share defined (configuration dialog > Custom Options page)? If there are, please delete them and retry. Does mounting work now?

Eureka!! That was the problem. I had one entry on Custom options page for each share with the wrong mount options you warn me about on your first post on the thread.
Thank you a lot!

However, it seems that my default settings regarding the CIFS Unix extensions weren't chosen very carefully. I will change them to the settings given above and release a new version shortly.

Any other idea?

Ok, very good.
However, it seems that my default settings regarding the CIFS Unix extensions weren't chosen very carefully. I will change them to the settings given above and release a new version shortly.
Perfect! You're doing a great job.
Thank you again.
