Hello evryobody! At this moment i'm working hard on the smartweb-auth module. I'm fixing some bug i found thanks to new release of dbunit and adding some futures like a new tag for authorization and a first scope implementation. Due to this the UML diagram must be rewrited. As soon as i'll do this i send you the png image... Bye svetrini --- A new smarteb-auth is coming soon.. Stay tuned !!! 2008/4/2, Annamaria Marini <ann...@gm...>: > > Hello everybody, > > I'm going on with the reorganization of SmartWeb User's Guide and now, I > need the classes diagrams of the implemented modules (auth, registry...) > Does anybody knows if they are adjourned and if they aren't, someone can > regenerate them? > > I'll wait for news, thanks > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------- > Check out the new SourceForge.net Marketplace. > It's the best place to buy or sell services for > just about anything Open Source. > > http://ad.doubleclick.net/clk;164216239;13503038;w?http://sf.net/marketplace > _______________________________________________ > smartweb-devel mailing list > sma...@li... > https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/smartweb-devel > > |

Well Anna, I think you could need a class diagram of the core too so I started preparing it. I think Stefano could update the smartweb-auth module class diagram and Giuseppe the smartweb-registry one. I suggest you ask for a PNG export of the diagrams so it would be easier for you to use into the documentation. For other modules I hope for volunteers like Salvatore, Gaetano and any of the fore mentioned developers. > I'll wait for news, thanks If I correctly understand you are preparing a per-module introduction... so I suggest you start with the core then move on each module. Hello everybody, I'm going on with the reorganization of SmartWeb User's Guide and now, I need the classes diagrams of the implemented modules (auth, registry...) Does anybody knows if they are adjourned and if they aren't, someone can regenerate them? I'll wait for news, thanks |

Hi all, using in this time MailAddress of registry module ,it 's too slow (on my reguard ) to populate Locality Object. I try to explain by a code example : MailAddress mail = new MailAddress(); mail.setDisplay("Personale"); mail.setCivic(request.getParameter("civic")); mail.setStreet(request.getParameter("street")); mail.setZipCode(request.getParameter("zipCode")); Country country=new Country(); country=(Country)country.decode(request.getParameter("code"); Locality locality = new Locality(); locality.setCountry(country); locality.setCity(request.getParameter("city")); locality.setState(request.getParameter("state")); mail.setLocality(locality); that's all when anyone ,using smartweb ,try to populate a MailAddress from a inherit Action. As you can see one of this step can be reduced setting countryCode directly by Locality as a String . The code above become : MailAddress mail=new MailAddress(); ... ... Locality locality=new Locality(); //Setting direct Country using decode method from Locality too. locality.setCountry("it"); ... in this way it's more agile for a developer to populate the MailAddress, only wrapping decode method from Country object!! What do you think about? I would like to modify it , reducing complexity and useless code. Waiting for your reply Giuseppe -- View this message in context: http://www.nabble.com/-Smartweb-registry--Country-populate-not-agile-tp16398634s17546p16398634.html Sent from the SmartWeb Developers mailing list archive at Nabble.com. |

Hello to all, I want to resume the speech on SmartWeb documentation and update you on the made considerations :working:. I have thought next to the new Home Page and I would propose you to revisit it maintaining some already current information and putting four lateral box (to catch the attention) including what is currently under Quick Start (see http://www.nabble.com/file/p16349330/Home.doc Home.doc ). Obviously we will not be able to made it in .apt  Have you some idea? What about the User Guide? I have preserved the structure proposed from Gaetano and prepared some .apt, therefore I would replace the current user-guide.html (whose information will be integrated to the first point ‘introducing.html’) with the new one and I would cut out the voices ‘architecture’ and ‘config guide’ from the area documentation placed on the left as they will be respectively integrated to the second and the third point of the new User Guide. If you agree, I would prepare all the .apt. Someone between you can generate the new Home Page? :handshake: -- View this message in context: http://www.nabble.com/How-to-organize-the-Smartweb-User%27s-Guide-tp13427690s17546p16349330.html Sent from the SmartWeb Developers mailing list archive at Nabble.com. |

Hi all, as finally dbunit have released a snapshot containing bugfixes needed by our project I released the corresponding snapshots. It will not as easy as usual to use those snapshots as you need to manually download and install the dbunit snapshot, but I think this is at least a step toward the new release. -- Roberto Lo Giacco |

Yes i'd like your idea, we could also display the new empty raw (other than button clicking) on the last column field exit (tabbing as standalone client). An advice: thing about how valorize raw and column field in edit-change mode...is not very simple... I agree but think about u would use the same page to update pre-loaded datas. Think about smartschool presence , smartteam expense account, registry addresses, typological entity (code , name, description), etc, etc, etc... The one i post is an idea...posted in a static context... :-) we could develop the idea as sofisticatly we like.... If i posted an ajax prototype i have resolved it :-) ... i post a problem and open a discussion to find the solution... and for evidencing a requirement for a common problem... I suggest another approach, at least to evaluate. In case we need to input multiple raws, for example the addresses of a Person (smartweb-registry docet), we can adopt a solution like: - display an empty raw to fill - display a button to request another raw to fill if the button is pressed we can update (AJAX style) the DIV containing the raw and add another row to fill Will this fullfil your needs? 2008/1/28, Gaetano Perrone <gpe...@sm...>: > > Your display tag is a good idea to handle standard paginated entity list . > With SmartGrid i think to resolve multiraw form common problem. > Think u would to acquire n raws from gui. Your display tag is a good idea to handle standard paginated entity list . With SmartGrid i think to resolve multiraw form common problem. Think u would to acquire n raws from gui. Actually also if the raw is simple (code, description) u must view list click add , compile form field. With grid (worksheet like) u could compile n raw with one click... svetrini wrote: > > What Do you mean with "label" ? > display tag by default, "display" a bean's Collection to a table in wich > any > properties is displayed as a column and the property name is the column > label. > If you prefer you can modify the default behaviur and display only the > column you want. > DisplayTag has others feutures like export to pdf or excel format and a > builtin pagination. > > 2008/1/28, Roberto Lo Giacco <rlo...@sm...>: >> >> The project you refer to allows only labels as grid elements... am I >> right? >> >> 2008/1/28, Stefano V <st...@gm...>: >> > There's a similar project for the struts framework. >> > look at " http://displaytag.sourceforge.net " We can >> > customize it, (if we need) >> >> >> -- >> Roberto Lo Giacco >> >> ------------------------------------------------------------------------- >> This SF.net email is sponsored by: Microsoft >> Defy all challenges. What Do you mean with "label" ? display tag by default, "display" a bean's Collection to a table in wich any properties is displayed as a column and the property name is the column label. If you prefer you can modify the default behaviur and display only the column you want. DisplayTag has others feutures like export to pdf or excel format and a builtin pagination. 2008/1/28, Roberto Lo Giacco <rlo...@sm...>: > > The project you refer to allows only labels as grid elements... am I > right? > > 2008/1/28, Stefano V <st...@gm...>: > > There's a similar project for the struts framework. > > look at " http://displaytag.sourceforge.net " We can > > customize it, (if we need) > > > -- > Roberto Lo Giacco > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------- > This SF.net email is sponsored by: Microsoft > Defy all challenges. There's a similar project for the struts framework. look at " http://displaytag.sourceforge.net " We can customize it, (if we need) 2008/1/27, Gaetano Perrone <gpe...@sm...>: > > > what do u think about adding a grid component (worksheet like) to smartweb > project??? > I was thinking about something like the follow: > > <smart:grid collection="myCollectionToGridName" id="myRaw" > styleClass="myGridClass" maxRawXPage="15" scope="MyScope"> > <smart:col name="myCol1PropertyName" header="col1Header"/> > <smart:col name="myCol2PropertyName" header="col2Header"/> > <smart:col name="myCol3PropertyName" header="col3Header" > type="number" > format="nn" sum="yes"/> > <smart:col name="myCol4PropertyName" header="col4Header" > type="number" > format="nn.dd" sum="yes"/> > <smart:col name="myCol5PropertyName" header="col5Header" > type="currency" > sum="yes"/> > </smart:grid> > > with the attached result... > http://www.nabble.com/file/p15119536/Untitled-1.html Untitled-1.html > > Waiting for feedbacks... > -- > View this message in context: > http://www.nabble.com/SmartGrid-Component-tp15119536s17546p15119536.html > Sent from the SmartWeb Developers mailing list archive at Nabble.com. > > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------- > This SF.net email is sponsored by: Microsoft > Defy all challenges. I don't understand why should we need such a tag library... Those type of visualizations are really rare and most of the time they need to be customized having some elements represented as a combo box, some others as a flaggable radio, other as labels... It's a lot of work if we want to support the entire set, and if we choose not to support the entire set it will have a limited applicability In addition I don't see in your JSP code any formatting (table, tr or td tags) so I think you are outputting them directly through the tags.... this means you should support through your tag all the HTML table features like, colspan, colspace, style, etc.... In particular the heading row.... I really think it's a lot of work for a very limited result... unless I misunderstood what you mean! :-) 2008/1/27, Gaetano Perrone <gpe...@sm...>: > > what do u think about adding a grid component (worksheet like) to smartweb > project??? > I was thinking about something like the follow: > > <smart:grid collection="myCollectionToGridName" id="myRaw" > styleClass="myGridClass" maxRawXPage="15" scope="MyScope"> > <smart:col name="myCol1PropertyName" header="col1Header"/> > <smart:col name="myCol2PropertyName" header="col2Header"/> > <smart:col name="myCol3PropertyName" header="col3Header" type="number" > format="nn" sum="yes"/> > <smart:col name="myCol4PropertyName" header="col4Header" type="number" > format="nn.dd" sum="yes"/> > <smart:col name="myCol5PropertyName" header="col5Header" type="currency" > sum="yes"/> > </smart:grid> > > with the attached result... > http://www.nabble.com/file/p15119536/Untitled-1.html Untitled-1.html > > Waiting for feedbacks... > -- > View this message in context: http://www.nabble.com/SmartGrid-Component-tp15119536s17546p15119536.html > Sent from the SmartWeb Developers mailing list archive at Nabble.com. > > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------- > This SF.net email is sponsored by: Microsoft > Defy all challenges. what do u think about adding a grid component (worksheet like) to smartweb project??? I was thinking about something like the follow: <smart:grid collection="myCollectionToGridName" id="myRaw" styleClass="myGridClass" maxRawXPage="15" scope="MyScope"> <smart:col name="myCol1PropertyName" header="col1Header"/> <smart:col name="myCol2PropertyName" header="col2Header"/> <smart:col name="myCol3PropertyName" header="col3Header" type="number" format="nn" sum="yes"/> <smart:col name="myCol4PropertyName" header="col4Header" type="number" format="nn.dd" sum="yes"/> <smart:col name="myCol5PropertyName" header="col5Header" type="currency" sum="yes"/> </smart:grid> with the attached result... http://www.nabble.com/file/p15119536/Untitled-1.html Untitled-1.html Waiting for feedbacks... -- View this message in context: http://www.nabble.com/SmartGrid-Component-tp15119536s17546p15119536.html Sent from the SmartWeb Developers mailing list archive at Nabble.com. |

It's a really good idea but It's not so simple as it seems.. In a simplest view of case you can consider to obtain ,from an input parameter, a list of "BusinessObject" described by a String value.=20 1=C2=B0 question: Where? where do you want to visualize them? 2=C2=B0 question: What ? What do you intend to fill with tou search result = ? A label ? an input text with a value? 3=C2=B0 question: how many items?Your search must be paginable ?=20 4=C2=B0 question: who ? Who can see this informations .We must filter them = by an auth property. And so on.. I've an idea , and I'm studing to resolve all these questions in a very elegant way ... I think I'll post it in this days ...for the moment I'm curious to know you= r consideration..as well :) Third=20 But =20 Gaetano Perrone wrote: >=20 > I'm thinking about introducing a standard web entity search component. > Think about a form mask with customer field to valorize with the customer > id. I'm thinking about a customized per entity component and a a basic for name / description implementation to be customized. Tipically a lot of search are for name...
