It looks as if this is either a bug in the Promise ultra 133 Tx2 hardware,
or a bug in the driver.  Since you see the same error under Windows and
Linux, can you tell me if the drivers in both cases are proprietary ones
written by Promise, or if one of them is 'open source' and
non-proprietary?
