Thanks Alex and Christian. How big can the "other drive errors" counter get before getting marked as faulty? I would not recommend to do this in production systems. It will possibly increment counter of "other drive errors" and at some point drive will be marked as fault. Actually SAT layer in LSI raid is a one big issue - it works very differently on different raids, but all implementations i saw are very limited. It is 100% firmware issue. |
