Hi Peter, The FAILING_NOW indicates that the disk has done more load cycles (moving the disk heads between parking position and activity) than the design limit. Personally I would plan to replace this disk in the near future, and make every effort to back up any important data from it. You should run a self-test with 'smartctl -t long' to see if there are unreadable data blocks.
