#40 search with term including * fails (q.b)

On http://torsun00.mdsp.com:8080/cgi-bin/b/dataman,
when performing a search using the Query Builder and
the term PI3K-alpha*, this search fails to return the
expected result. The similar search using the term
PI3K-alpha (PI3K-alpha* without the *) does return the
expected result, consistent with a bug in Query
Builder involving simple search terms that include non-
alphanumerics. A sample search performed is detailed
in the attached doc.

I tested this out with the regular text query form and it
still fails. I'm not sure if support for special
characters (i.e. '*') was intended to be supported.
