#14 bracketed/field-specific search fails

This search fails to return the expected result (iid
47):

Rpo21 AND (Rpb5[BIND-Interaction.a.short-label] OR Rpb5
[BIND-Interaction.b.short-label])

However, placing a space between the last square and
round bracket makes the search work!

Rpo21 AND (Rpb5[BIND-Interaction.a.short-label] OR Rpb5
[BIND-Interaction.b.short-label] )

I have tried bracketed (non-field-specific)searches
and shown that they work properly i.e. there is a
difference between

Rpb1 AND (Rpb8 OR Rpb5)

and

(Rpb1 AND Rpb8) OR Rpb5

The problem is related to the ]) combination since

(Rpb5[BIND-Interaction.b.short-label]_) works and

(Rpb5[BIND-Interaction.b.short-label]) does not. In

fact, placing any character in between ] and ) seems
to make the search work.
