I think, if I understand you correctly, this can be done. e.g. books.slashdot.org can have an author that only posts to that section, as I do with wireless.lisnews.com Adding a new section is under configuration, and then section s(sections.pl?op=list) You set the URLs in there, and don't forget to add that subdomain to apache. Now as a user with a seclev > 10k pick a users page (e.g. /users.pl?uid=2479) In their options, you can limit them to a section in a drop down list. Hopefully that's what you're looking for, I can't quite tell. -------------- Blake Carver LISNews.com Librarian & Information Science News http://www.lisnews.com ----- Original Message ----- From: "mike" <m.a...@pe...> To: <sla...@li...> Sent: Tuesday, December 09, 2003 1:43 PM Subject: [Slashcode-general] How to isolate sections? > Hi, > > I am running a slash site with multiple sections and have complete > control over the software and server. > > I hope to offer in the future the ability to host isolated sections > where a group or organization can have there own area / section devoted > entirely to them for discussions.
