No

1) At slashdot, select openid login, enter "me.yahoo.com".
2) At yahoo, "choose open ID" and accept.
3) Back at slashdot http://slashdot.org/login.pl?op=verify_openid I get
Unable to verify with http://specs.openid.net/auth/2.0/identifier_select.
4) It's dead jim

Now it DOES work if I enter my direct openID url rather than
just me.yahoo.com. But then the message is
Verified with http://www.yahoo.com/; please log in to attach this OpenID to an account.

And I log in. And all is good. Until next time I try to log in, where I lather rinse repeat
lather rinse repeat repeat repeat. It does not seem to actually attach anything.

Yahoo is a bit weird with OpenID. Try it with me.yahoo.com/YAHOOID.

When I log in with me.yahoo.com/YAHOOID, I get the following error message from Yahoo:

"Warning: This website does not meet Yahoo!'s requirements for website address. Do not share any personal information with this website unless you are certain that it is legitimate."

http://blog.facilelogin.com/2008/07/let-rest-discover-your-openid-relying.html has an in-depth discussion of the problem and some potential solutions

    http://www.w8track.com/content/2009/05/19/yahoo-openid-warning-message-resolved.html mentions that site's work-around.

Further, though I can log in as the original poster mentioned (me.yahoo.com/open_id_enabled_id), I get a different error message when I try to log in using his first method and have to choose which id:
The error I get is: "Error: naive_verify_failed_return."

Yes, that "warning" from Yahoo is an optional thing mostly that we don't currently support.

I try to log in with my OpenID, and it gives me back the "Verified with http://www.\[DOMAIN].net/; please log in to attach this OpenID to an account." message. However, I log in and then cannot figure out how I can attach that OpenID to my actual account, since when I log off and try to use my OpenID to log back in, it gives me that same message again.

I probably missed it when I added my comment (or the team updated Slash), but to attach my OpenID, I first had to log into my account (normal username/password), and then navigate to "Help & Account" > "User Info" > "Password". On that page, I could then attach my OpenID(s) properly.

Thanks, palswim. I guess I am not attaching my myopenid.com identity properly, because slashdot.org continues to give me that message.

Okay, myopenid.com works on slashdot.org from swiftfox but fails from chromium. Thanks for the note, palswin!
