In the beta view (plus and minus buttons on each story), as a subscribed user, I get different but still incorrect behaviour. I'm using the same version as the original reporter - Safari 3.1.2, MacOS 10.5.5.
Per communitybot's comment on 2008-10-22, that's the *new* broken behavior. It switched to that format a few days after the initial bug report was filed. Different, but still broken.

Tagging feature displaying incorrectly in Safari
I have the same issue in seamonkey-1.1.12 in linux. It looks a little different (tags are all one one line). I'll see about adding an image.

Same here in Opera 9.6 RC1 on Windows and Linux, worked fine, stopped working around the time the report says.
I was about to file the same bug. Also broken on iPhone, not that this should be a surprise since it is broken on Safari, but....
Okay, it works now, kind of. But when I resize the window down a bit, things get weird:

Again, this is seamonkey-1.1.12 in linux.

1) No triangle icon, so cannot add new tags. http://www.flickr.com/photos/31649237@N05/2964688270
2) Tags wrap across two lines and hovering over the second line causes overlapping text. http://www.flickr.com/photos/31649237@N05/2964688356

I bumped the priority on this PCR to 7 and reassigned to CmdrTaco since it didn't appear to be getting any visibility using the default attributes.
Cool - whatever change was made today appears to have fixed the problems described in my comment yesterday. Thanks :)
Still not working correctly in Safari normal view.
It's still incorrect for me, but the view I'm getting is different. Screenshot here:

Seriously, this has been bugging me for weeks.
Apologies - my prior "it's fixed" message was premature. The behaviour is as per my 2008-10-22 16:37 post.
