#4201 Security problem with a url on slashdot
I went to www.slashdot.org and was looking at your story "Mobile: AT&T Slaps Family With a $19,370 Cell Phone Bill".
Within that link is a link about an $85,000 cellphone bill, and when I followed that link to a non-slashdot.org site, and tried to scroll, my computer went nuts. The IE browser locked up, my hard drive went nuts either reading or writing something to my hard drive.
Either there is an issue with a java script stuck in some loop, or some other problem with that link.
I think it might be a good idea to investigate this and if you see a problem, to remove that link.
I have seen this before when a page has a script stuck in an infinate loop.
I finally had to hit reset twice to regain control over my machine.
PS, I got logged out when I tried to go to this message submission url....
Why am I forced to make an account with source forge, just to email slashdot? isn't my slashdot login good enough that you force me to spend 30 minutes trying to do my duty warning you about a problem? This is painful!!!!
Please consider an easier way of letting folks warn you about problems on your site! It should not be a nightmare!

Hi. I don't use IE and don't see a problem, but I'll investigate further. What version of IE is it? There's a few in common use, and are very different.
As to making an account with SourceForge, we require you to log in because the bug reporting was abused. That said, right on the bug submission form we included an email address for security problems, and you could have used that.
