Hi Mathieu,

thank you for your piece of advice, it worked: once author's name/mail 
and absolute urls for images are set, the feeds are shown on RSS page.
Maybe you should force the above fields to be mandatory?

However, I still do not get any mail alert from new feeds. Might it be 
related to the validity of the RSS feeds, or just to some Thunderbird 
bug/setting?
