I've got a systemimager-server running on a debian 3.0 box. I"m trying to install a client image on a node and i'm getting an error message regarding the tg3 driver for the Broadcom nic on this new Dell PE 1750. I'm pretty sure that the driver in the BOEL kernel is so old that its barfing on this new nic. I guess my question is what is the recommended solution to this problem.. A. Do I ditch the debian package installation of systemimager-* and compile from source just to get a kernel and initrd image compiled that will work with my new box. B. Try to figure out how to create a kernel for the mkautoinstallcd script that will work with the initrd image already included with systemimager-boot-386-standard package. C. You have a better solution. ; ) Thanks in advance Mark |
