Dear John, There should be a new entry in the run dialog. You need to create and configure an instance of it. I googled the missing dependency and added http://sdqweb.ipd.kit.edu/eclipse/workflowengine/current/ to my update sites. It got a bit further before failing with this message: An error occurred while collecting items to be installed session context was:(profile=epp.package.jee, phase=org.eclipse.equinox.internal.p2.engine.phases.Collect, operand=, action=). HTTP Server 'Service Unavailable': http://sissy.sourceforge.net/SISSy_Nightly/plugins/de.fzi.gast_1.0.0.201201171344NGT.jar HttpClient connection error response code 503. Interestingly, when I did an HTTP GET to http://sissy.sourceforge.net/SISSy_Nightly/plugins/de.fzi.gast_1.0.0.201201171344NGT.jar, the jar downloaded successfully. So I tried installing again and it finally succeeded. After Eclipse restarted, I saw a new green icon in the toolbar. Clicking it does nothing (and no messages are shown in <workspace>/.metadata/.log) How do I get started with SISSy? --johnt On Aug 16, 2012, at 8:45 AM, John Tangney <jo...@sk...> wrote: > Using the update site at sissy.sourceforge.net/SISSy_Nightly/ I get this error: > > Cannot complete the install because one or more required items could not be found. > Software being installed: SISSy Feature 1.1.0.201201171344NGT (de.fzi.sissy.bundle.feature.feature.group 1.1.0.201201171344NGT) > Missing requirement: SISSy Persistence Plug-in 1.0.0.201201171344NGT (de.fzi.sissy.persistence 1.0.0.201201171344NGT) requires 'bundle de.uka.ipd.sdq.workflow 1.1.0' but it could not be found > Cannot satisfy dependency: > From: SISSy Feature 1.1.0.201201171344NGT (de.fzi.sissy.bundle.feature.feature.group 1.1.0.201201171344NGT) > To: de.fzi.sissy.gastimporter 1.0.0 > Cannot satisfy dependency: > From: SISSy GastImporter Plug-in 1.0.0.201201171344NGT (de.fzi.sissy.gastimporter 1.0.0.201201171344NGT) > To: bundle de.fzi.sissy.persistence 1.0.0 > > I am very interested in trying SISSy. Dear SISSy List, To better support tools which depend on SISSy and requires access to a SISSy update site when they are published, we have decided to publish a stable SISSy update site in addition to the existing Nightly Build Update Site. While this is not an official release, this update site does not have an official version number. Instead we used the date of the build as suffix. You can reach this site with the URL: http://sissy.sourceforge.net/SISSy_20110910/ Feel free to send any comments, questions, and remarks. All the best Benjamin Dipl.-Inform. Hi all, First, I want to welcome you all on the new SISSy developer list. The aim of this list is to connect all stakeholders of the SISSy project and tooling. This list should be used to discuss any issues and to share any news and noteworthy about SISSy. The major topics of this first mailing are the recent changes about the project: 1) SISSy Website We build up a new website for the project. Within the Software Engineering group at FZI we decided to launch a new website named www.sqools.org<http://www.sqools.org> as a common platform for SISSy and SoMoX and hopefully other projects in the future. SQools stands out for Software Quality Tools and we want to promote the subprojects as well as working on an integrated tool chain. 2) SISSy SVN We migrated the old and sometimes not very reliable CVS at Sourceforge to a SVN repository actually hosted at by FZI. Aligned to the website, this SVN can be used by any tools related to the SQools project (SoMoX as well as the GAST meta model will stay on the OW2 platform). The SVN url can be found on the SQools Website or directly at: http://svn.fzi.de/svn/sqools/projects/sissy/. In the SVN, we also provide support for our coding conventions (aligned checkstyle and eclipse formatter profiles) at http://svn.fzi.de/svn/sqools/commons/coding-conventions/. The SVN provides a public read access. Accounts with write permissions can be requested by either Benjamin, Klaus or Johannes. 3) SourceForge Project Website The SourceForge project website at https://sourceforge.net/projects/sissy/ has been cleaned up and an actual drop of the SISSy plugin is now provided in the download section. Actually, we turned off a lot of unused SourceForge features. 4) Outlook We are going to enhance our development environment such as introducing a new Issue Tracker. In addition, we already started to discuss some future development alternatives. This discussion will continue and I would like to invite all of you to bring in your own thoughts to this discussion. We want to work on the sustainability of the Tooling and continue to provide a good base for researchers as well as industry to work on their software quality. Perhaps there will be a chance to collocate a SISSy/SQools Meeting with the Palladio Days (www.palladio-days.org<http://www.palladio-days.org>) or a similar event. I am looking forward to any discussions and feedback and hope you will continue to benefit from this work. All the best Benjamin Dipl.-Inform.
