Or am I missing something? Most likely the supporting .jar files aren't in the current directory, and the SISC_HOME environment variable is not set. The SISC startup script will automatically search for the files if that variable isn't set, but it checks only a few locations. The current directory, /usr/lib/sisc, and /usr/local/lib/sisc iirc.
