When you make a call throw siptapi the call is always identified in the phones as your extension.
Then your incoming call list in the phone is always your extension number as identifier.

It would be desirable to get the call from the "Name" <number> you are dialing than from your extension. In this way:
1) You have a correct list of dialed calls in the phone (but in received list, not dialed list)
2) You can use the phone to redial not answered calls, etc.

Other tapi applications act in this way, but using Asterisk Call Manager (for example), not directly sip.

Changing to the From URI to the "to be dialed number" is not easy. When using the standard scenario (routing via PBX) the From URI must contain a username of a SIP acocunt configured at this PBX. Maybe I can set the display-name, but I guess this wont change the number entry in dialing lists - they usually use the SIP URI.

When using the "alternative scenario" (routing directly to the phone) it might work.

Maybe a bit of config must be done in the PBX to get this feature working...
With Asterisk, at least, I think it could be possible to do it with the RPID sip header and configuring with the option trustrpid=yes in sip.conf.

Having the name in the call list will be at least much better for me than having 100 calls with the same name. Maybe a check in the config panel would be a good option to let the user try in which manner want to be the call passed to the phone.
