Version 0.2.0 has just been released. There are just some minor functional improvements but I think it has now reached a state where it might be useful to non-developers (pronounce 'users' ;-). http://siproxd.sourceforge.net/ Feedback, Bugreports (and of course also success messages) to: tries at gmx.net Release Notes for siproxd-0.2.0 =============================== - SIP Proxy for SIP based softphones hidden behind a masquerading firewall - Includes an RTP data stream proxy for incomming audio data - Supports running in a chroot jail (configurable) - Supports changing user ID after startup (if started as root) - All configuration done via config file Requirements: - pthreads - libosip 0.8.8 - currently tested on Linux 2.2.x (Redhat 6.0) and 2.4.x (Redhat 7.2). However, it should run on others too. ----- md5sum for siproxd-0.2.0.tar.gz: fe22245be675015a296e9b19327c4941 GnuPG signature for siproxd-0.2.0.tar.gz archive: -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.0.5 (GNU/Linux) iEYEABECAAYFAj2HXe0ACgkQPOYHDi42pIo/FACg2AiHoo6BMy93PDmW/3uFl19+ 0NoAoIpD7jROQlLtUYrB8n8elBODR1dA =8fno -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- Regards, Thomas -- GnuPG Public Key: pub 1024D/87BCDC94 2000-03-19 Thomas Ries <tr...@gm...> uid Thomas Ries <tho...@gm...> Key fingerprint = 13D1 19F5 77D0 4CEC 8D3F A24E 09FC C18A 87BC DC94 |

Hi there, There is a missing subdirectory in the distribution prior to 0.1.3 that result in an error during the ./configure phase: configure: error: can not find install-sh or install.sh in scripts ./scripts This is now fixed in 0.1.3 (I'm sorry for having made such a stupid bug). 0.1.3 includes some other small changes as documented below. 0.1.3 ===== - 11-Sep-2002: - Fixed a error in the autoconf/automake part of the project. (scripts subdirectory was missing in the tar.gz archive. This resulted in an error during ./configure - complaining about non existent install-sh script) - startup is more silent - set initial debug level to 0 - 10-Sep-2002: - Some (yea, I know...) -minor- docu updates - 8-Sep-2002: - Masquerade Contact Headers of inbound clients (Contact header will be used by the remote SIP user agent to directly contact the local user agent - and bypassing the proxy. This of course will *not* work if the local user agent is located in a private IP range.) - Performance optimizations in RTP proxy - Bugfix: now masqueraded clients work with any SIP port (other than 5060). Before, incomming requests/responses where always sent to port 5060. Siproxd-0.1.2 just has been released. It now includes *experimental* support for proxying incomming RTP data streams. This eliminates the need for doing port-forwarding on the firewall itself. The range of ports that siproxd will use to receive incomming RTP streams is configurable. http://sourceforge.net/projects/siproxd/ -- GnuPG Public Key: pub 1024D/87BCDC94 2000-03-19 Thomas Ries <tr...@gm...> uid Thomas Ries <tho...@gm...> Key fingerprint = 13D1 19F5 77D0 4CEC 8D3F A24E 09FC C18A 87BC DC94 |
