Found the problem….My Pcap capture was done in “Linux cooked-mode”
instead of Ethernet mode.

Thank you very much for the immediate response. I did try your utility,
but I get the same error. I am not sure what is wrong with the recorded
stream. I am attaching the pcap files along with this. Is it possible
for you to test it out in your setup?

You  must filtered within wiredshark you PCAP so ONLY one, in one
direction RTP stream is included. You should remove any ICMP, TCP , ...
etc

You can maybe download my patch PMP ( PcapMassPlayer, a patch to SIPp
unstable).

The pcap is loaded only once at start, so you can check it.
try 
    ./pmp2 -s -t 3 --file < you pcap>
    <ctrl-c>

You should not have ANY 'packet discard' message
