A new release should be out soon that fixes a minor but frustrating bug involving how files open. Also in the works, not for this release, but for the next due out in a week or so will (finally!) add the preferences functionality, allowing the user to switch fonts, switch file types, etc. For now, download 0.7 - its still pretty damn stable - and have fun.

After much hard work and debugging, simplicity 0.7 is out. There are a lot of changes here, but most noteably the tabbing has been added and (seems to) work perfectly, and the internal file management has been updated. Now simplicity does everything a basic c-sharp editor should do - syntax highlighting, editing of multiple files, etc. Next steps will include access to the mono compiler and perhaps some project management features. Simplicity sharp is up and running with its second Sourceforge release, version 0.6. Everything is pretty stable, and most of the base functionality is there, though it certainly has a long way to go. The syntax highlighting works and effectively switches the highlighting. 0.7 will add the multiple file tabbing, and subsequent versions will include access to the mono compiler and runtime environment.... read more
