The only thing I'd say sgs is lacking at present is a workflow engine. Inspite of some of the deprecated php functions [quick fix mostly], this is the only thing I'd say that is lacking from the core of sgs. Compared to other groupware/erp type solutions, the ability to write a module in one file is a blessing. If it was possible to add workflow to some of the elements, modules would become fullblown apps that can work across many teams and departments for some 'special' group-ware.
