Hi Carfield,

This has nothing to do with Simple, if this causes
problems then inString is not ISO-8859-1. If you get
this data from the InputStream check the
Request.getMimeType charset. If not then it is related
to something else. Also, you should not try to promote
ISO-8859-1 to UTF-8. You should try:

inString.getBytes("UTF-8");
