Same here, we're still using SimpleTest in our day to day operations 
within No Parking (my company). We currently have more than 25000 tests 
running at leat 3 times a day.

While Sourceforge looks dead, the main SimpleTest tree has moved to 
GitHub. You can find everythig there as well.

And if PHP6, PHP7 or whatever is coming next from PHP Core does break 
something, it WILL get fixed. That's a promise !
