Have just downloaded and installed the program by uploading the zip file to public_html and when I try to run index.php I receive an error message:

**Forbidden
You don't have permission to access /SSA/index.php on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.**

The logs directory and the SSA directory under public_html both have permissions set to 755 with directories under them set to 755 and files to 644.

Can you advise, please.

many apologies for not replying sooner. For some reason I'm not receiving email advice from this forum.

I'm not sure why you're getting these errors. However, SSA has now been replaced by SSA Multisite which is available at http://simplesiteaudit.terryheffernan.net

Although it's a multisite version, it can also be used for a single site. Maybe you would like to try SSAM instead of SSA.
