Today is going to be a long long day........

The aim of today is to as much as possible create the homepage for Simple-CMS. Hopefully by 2300HRS GMT tonight we should have a fully functionable site, enabling us to spread the word a lot more.

The Simple CMS Group are proud to announce the release of the "Big Fat Meaty" Version.

In This release, we have fixed 4 bugs, as posted on our sourceforge bug tracker, and also added a new version of Tiny MCE, a fuller version, wurh more features, and more user compatability. Unlike in the news post on Sourceforge prior to release, textbox.css is still here, although it's use has change. It is now central to the adding of CSS styles in the editor, as the editor looks specifically for CSS styles stored in a file. We can not use default.css, as it means that some CSS styles are shown that are used in the parsing of the header, and therefore would cause messy code if used.
The other new feature may be the one you are looking at now. It is a Project Information page, where we aim to let you in on new features, security announcements, patches, and our Project Of The Month, Info of which is to come soon.
Finally, We have sorted out the templating problems that has appeared in Firefox, since it seems, 1.0.0. To do this, we have started the transition from divs to tables, which may be rolled out further in version 1.0.4
Furthermore, We are working on getting the Simple-CMS project web page up and running. It is located at http://simple-cms.sourceforge.net , and we aim to be sorting it out soon.... read more

A quick message.

There is an unforseen delay to the next release of Simple CMS 1.0.3, as the theme does not work in Firefox for some stupid reason.

I am trying to sort it out, otherwise I may end up using another theme on there.

What’s In Store For Simple CMS Version 1.0.3?

Simple CMS HQ has been very busy, fixing bugs, sorting out code, and implementing new ideas.

To start:

I’ve tidied a vast number of the pages up, to make them look a lot easier on the eye, and also to make it easier when it comes to adding modules of MODS. Better to get it out of the way now, than later, then MOD codes will all have to be updated.

A new version of Simple CMS, and a new version of Tiny MCE, the WYSIWYG editor we use for adding content. This time we are going a full the full whack option, with all the bells, apart from three modules: Save, Reset, And Spell checker. Reasons? Save just saves the page, Reset can be done just as easily by just deleting all the contents, and the IE Spell button goes against one of our morals, that you shouldn’t ever have to visit another site, except for documentation.... read more

Slogans are an important thing. They help to capture the users eye, and also provide a memorable descriptive to go with their product. A slogan is an important part of a Brand management, as it could be the difference in success and failure.

Here at Simple CMS, we have reviewed our current slogan. We feel that Easy Site Management is to bland, and can be mixed up with any other CMS product claiming to be "Simple", and "Easy" to use.... read more

Please note, that our sister project, Host.Deny, Will be using a Simple CMS installation when it relaunches in the near future, further showing the capabilities of the project.... read more

The Simple CMS Group are proud to announce the release of the Simple CMS Project.
This is the fourth Build of Simple CMS Version 1.0.2, and it carries more features than ever before.
In This version, we see the Admin Panel get a revamp, so that it now looks like a set of pages, rather than a box. A new WYSIWYG editor has spawned out from nowhere, and non-admin pages have had a faster load time due to the separation of the code from these pages.
Next up, there are a few bugs found whilst this was being written that need to be addressed, as well as a clean up of all the code, to make it look nicer, and easier to customise. There may also even be an advanced templating system as early as the next release
