I am running Windows XP Pro. I can run getdata.pl
manually and receive showtime data. But during sync on
my SJ33, the DOS box pops up, some words flash in the
DOS box, and then the DOS box closes (too fast for me
to read the words). Sync log says:

OK Showtimes

Does the conduit just not work in XP?

Try changing the compatability to Windows 98. I had trouble
until I did it on my machine.

The conduit has to be added to the HotSync's list of
conduits. This is done by running setup.exe. showcond.dll is
then added to the HotSync list of conduits and is run
whenever a HotSync is requested. Once set up this way you
can't move or rename the Showtimes directory and
showcond.dll has to remain inside the Showtimes directory. It
    is compatible with Windows XP.

If you still have problems, try running getdata.exe or
getdata.pl using the Windows task scheduler. When using the
task scheduler, make sure you set the startup directory to
the Showtimes directory. This actually turns out to be a more
effective solution, especially if you HotSync more than once
a day because the movie schedules change only once a day.
The only condition is you have to have a connection to the
Internet when getdata is scheduled to run.
