I too am having the problem with getdata.pl finding an
uninitialized value at line 1943.

The error message I get is:

Processing URL 1 of 5
Use of uninitialized value in exists at getdata.pl line 1943.
Use of uninitialized value in hash element at getdata.pl
line 1948.
Use of uninitialized value in hash element at getdata.pl

Use of uninitialized value in hash element at getdata.pl
line 1952.
Processing URL 3 of 5
Use of uninitialized value in exists at getdata.pl line 1943.
Use of uninitialized value in hash element at getdata.pl

Processing URL 4 of 5
Use of uninitialized value in exists at getdata.pl line 1943.
Use of uninitialized value in hash element at getdata.pl

I was able to open getdata.pl and find line 1943. It
appears something is going wrong with the filename
assignment when it trys to write data to a cache file. I
am guessing this is related to a change Yahoo made on
their website.

the updated patch 930077 fixed this for me. However, now I
only get one day's worth of data and many of the times
appear as "AM" instead of "PM". Also, I just upgraded to 0.7
and now Showtimes is really slow. Switching to a new movie
or theatre or from Times to Plot takes a second or three. Is
that normal or part of this recent issue? It always used to be
    instantaneous. see http://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?
    func=detail&aid=930077&group_id=2989&atid=302989 for the
    patch.

is there any way to change the cfg file so that instead of
putting the date in manually (ie 20040405) you can have it
so the program does it automatically (ie yyyymmdd) for today
    and the next few days?

    Thanks Phoenix

I have been unable to find a correction for this problem in a
week. I suggest using my.yahoo.com movies through
    avantgo.com (free) or vindigo.com. Vindigo has a 30-day
free trial of v. 2.0 and then VindigoLite is available free-of-
charge thereafter. It will no longer have reviews, but will
    have showtimes.

    Good luck,

have you looked at patch-930184? read the emails attached,
especially the ones from the author of the patch about
currently NOT using getdata.exe, but instead using "perl
getdata.pl", and the need to currently have a perl installed
    on the machine.

I've downloaded the patch, but I only get one day's worth of data...
    Anyone else having this problem?

nevermind... get many days worth of data after doing it the way it was
explained :) however, I do have a.m. times instead of p.m. times listed,
    although that is no biggie.
