Hi all, I forked the shinken project as Francois MIKUS said in a last mail for a patch modification... I suggest you a new windows installation using check_wmi_plus templates but all working on windows. The fork only touch the shinken windows folder of the shinken installation, so no modifications on the shinken sources. I am not very familiar with git, so i create a new branch to put the data into my forked github : 1.2rc2_Windows. I test on windows 2008 R2, and all is working fine. This is the way to do : Once the Github downloaded, copy all your folder into the real installation folder - normally into %systemroot%\program files (x86)\shinken, but you may choose an other folder... go to your shinken folder go into .\windows folder launch install-shinken.cmd (administrative rights of course)... and enjoy. Pre-requisites : The same as before but you may forget the 2003 reskit , instsrv no longer used .NET installed (2.0 min ) perl (activestate only) installed. I check with strawberr perl, but the services need to run non interactive, and strawberry don't like that. all the services are installed as localsystem, but you may change that. You can use 2 types of works for the poller (check_wmi_plus is kaunched by that service) Or you define the user into the resource.cfg - Warning, use the short names or you modify the service to be run by a specific user with rights on WMI. In this case, put an #### name in the resource.cfg username. I tested on standalone servers AND domain servers, all is working, but mmy actual version of check_wmi_plus has a bug on swap module. I will check that soon. Let me know if you have questions or more explanations. Regards, Jean-François BUTKIEWICZ Consultant VEOSOFT (groupe VEONERGIE) |
