I'm testing Evo after installing it with the last package that Markybob kindly made available.
I noticed that it runs ok if I launch it as Administrator on WinXP ProSP2.
Standard users get 0xc0000022 Error
(they should moreover launch the step2.exe command
to see any output).
I think the problem is related with permission,
but don't know if it is due to scripts only.

Sorry, i would like to make a precisation:
with standard or restricted users it doesn't start neither shows errors, except launching step2.exe
that shows that 0xc0000022 error.

I found out the problem using File Monitor from sysinternals.com, as suggested by Tor Lillqvist.
It was a missing permission with the msvcr71.dll that I added manually before Evo installation, because it was missing on my system.
I added Users group with RX permission to that file and then Evo started with normal user.
Would it be possible to add a check to the installer
to verify the right privileges of that dll?
