Sometimes threads are followed backwards

Sometimes you come to a text near the tail of a thread where you have unread texts "to the left of" current text. Then #KOM follows the thread backwards towards the head of the thread. That is sometimes a bit confusing. This happens when texts are cross posted from other conferences.
I thing I want the following behaviour:
- Follow the just entered thread towards the tail.
- When the tail is reached, leave that thread and continue reading texts in the current active conference, i.e. "go back" to the conference from where we came.

Hmmm, some kind of temporary max-root needs to be invented to handle this case I think.
There is a conflicting case when new comments are added to a thread earlier in the read order than the current text. The solution must not break this case.
